From the runway to real-life, here are the top 5 most wearable fashion trends this Summer. We take 5 high-fashion trends from the catwalk and translate them to your wardrobe, including where to snap-up the latest looks in INDIAN stores.
1. Brush strokes
This is one of our favourite current trends, allowing you to wear all the delicious Summer shades at once, without being the slightest bit overwhelming.
It’s so easy to coordinate this trend with almost anything in your wardrobe too. Simply pick one piece in a brush-stroke print, such as a top or blouse, then pair it with any of the colours in the print for the rest of your outfit, such as your skirt or pants.
To really make this look work off the runway, pick a second colour from the print for your bag, shoes and accessories.
2. Ruffles
Ruffles get edgy this Summer with a geometric twist. Take this trend from the catwalk to the office by looking for smaller ruffle details, like ruffled sleeves or a ruffled hemline, rather than ruffles head-to-toe.
3. Top-to-toe White
White dresses and top-to-toe white were shown by most designers for Spring and Summer this year. White dresses pop up this time every year of course, but this season designers have given this pretty look an edgy twist, with cut-out details like lace and eyelets.
4. Tropics
Fauna and flora prints go hand-in-hand with Spring and Summer fashion. This year a designer favourite spotted on the catwalk are palm trees and palm fronds, giving you a less ‘girly’ way to embrace the botanical trend this season.
5. Coral
One of the very few colours everyone suits, coral is a hot favourite this season. If you’re not usually one for bright colours, try pairing a pop of coral with calming navy. For a real wow, pair it with crisp white and bring on the sun!
